Travelling information

Arriving in the Netherlands by plane
- Rotterdam The Hague Airport: 15 minutes by taxi or bus to Delft city center
- Amsterdam Schiphol Airport : 45 minutes by train to Delft Central Station
- Brussels Airport Zaventhem: 1.45h by international train (Thalys) to Rotterdam Central Station and transfer to commuter train (direction The Hague) to Delft Central Station

OV chip card for public transport
Dutch public transport requires a so-called OV-chipkaart, a smart card that can be used for bus, tram, train and metro services.
To travel with local transport it is also possible to use the Tranzer app. Individual tickets are a little bit more expensive than with a OV-card but you don’t have to buy the OV-card but can pay with your credit card.

Meeting in NEN office

Delegates to (inter)national meetings are requested to wear the personal badge, handed out upon registration, during all meetings, lunches and social event. You find the Registration desk in the central entrance hall.

House rules

- NEN office is a 'non-smoking' building!
Smoking area outside: seating area opposite to the main entrance stairs.
- It is not allowed to bring food into the meeting rooms.
- Beverages are served in your meeting room. Extra orders: call ext. 102 NEN restaurant.

Opening hours

NEN office is open for meetings from 8.30 until 18.00h and all meeting rooms should be empty 18.15h at the latest.

Safety & security

NEN Building is open between 7.00 - 18.30h.
In case of calamities in our building ALWAYS follow instructions of the NEN employee, present at your meeting and familiar with our building and escape routes.

Passports/VISA/Vaccinations

Delegates from outside the "Schengen area of Europe" are advised to check with their local travel agency about regulations regarding passports, visas and vaccinations and, particularly on the time frame required for visa application.

NEN can issue an official invitation letter for VISA application, at request; to apply for an invitation letter, please complete this VISA details form and mail it to evenementen@nen.nl!
