Travelling information

Arriving in the Netherlands by plane
- Rotterdam The Hague Airport: 15 minutes by taxi or bus to Delft city center
- Amsterdam Schiphol Airport : 45 minutes by train to Delft Central Station
- Brussels Airport Zaventhem: 1.45h by international train (Thalys) to Rotterdam Central Station and transfer to commuter train (direction The Hague) to Delft Central Station

Meeting in NEN office

Delegates to (inter)national meetings are requested to wear the personal badge, handed out upon registration, during all meetings and lunches. You find the Registration desk in the central entrance hall.

Lunch & Special diets

Lunches can be obtained in our restaurant between 13-14 h, and can only be payed for by Maestro Debet cards (wireless or with PIN) or Credit cards with PIN. Cash payments or Credit cards which need paper slips can not be accepted. Alternative lunch locations are not available close to NEN.
Attendees with special diets are asked to inform the registration desk or mail to Evenementen@nen.nl

House rules

- NEN office is a 'non-smoking' building!
Smoking area is outside opposite to the main entrance stairs at the seating area.
- It is not allowed to bring food into the meeting rooms.
- Beverages are served in your meeting room. Extra orders: call ext. 102 NEN restaurant.

Safety & security

NEN Building is open between 7.00 - 19.00h.
In case of calamities in our building ALWAYS follow instructions of the NEN employee, present at your meeting and familiar with the building and escape routes.

Weather forecast
The weather situation in June is usually stable (sunny with occasional showers). Average daily temperature is between 20 to 25 degrees Celsius.

Currency: euro (€)
Exchange at any bank (opening hours 09:00 h – 17:00 h), and in most of the larger hotels. Bank notes are issued in the following denominations: 5, 10, 20, 50 euro (100, 200, and 500 euro are usually not accepted). Coins in use: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 cents, and 1 & 2 euro.

Delegates from outside the "Schengen area of Europe" are advised to check with their local travel agency about regulations regarding passports, visas and vaccinations and, particularly, about the time required for obtaining a visa if necessary.

NEN can issue an official invitation letter for VISA application, at request; to apply for an invitation letter, please complete this VISA details form and mail it to evenementen@nen.nl!

Bookings at special rates is only possible with reference code: IEC/TC 34 and booked by e-mail or telephone. (You cannot enter the code at the online hotel page.)
