This European Standard applies to floating cranes. This European Standard is not applicable to: a) Assembly , dismantling or changing the configuration of the crane; b) Lifting accessories; c) Operations at a design temperature below - 20 Â°C; d) Lifting operations involving more than one floating crane. This European Standard deals with significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to floating cranes, when used as intended under conditions foreseen by the manufacturer For the purposes of this European Standard the boundary between a floating crane and its support is generally assumed to be as follows: All load carrying structural components where stresses are primarily caused by loads on the crane and not by buoyancy are considered to be part of the crane. The significant hazards covered in this European Standard are identified in clause 4.
