Over deze norm
|Commissie||Installatievoorschriften, lage spanning|
Applicable to the erection and operation of fixed and temporary eletrical test equipment. It also applies to production and repair apparatus, the construction and function of which corresponds to that of test equipment, e.g. pumping and burning-in installations in the production of fluorescent and tubular lamps. Compliance with this standard is not necessary when contact with live parts presents no danger. This is the case when one of the following conditions is satisfied at exposed points: a) The voltage does not exceed 25 V a.c. or 60 V d.c. and complies with the requirements for the generation of SELV or for PELV with reliable isolation in accordance with HD 384.4.41. b) In the case of voltages exceeding 25 V a.c. or 60 V d.c., the resultant current through a non-inductive resistance of 2 kOHM does not exceed 3 mA r.m.s. or 12 mA d.c. c) The discharge energy does not exceed 350 mJ. d) The current and voltage values according to prEN 50158, annex A, rating class 1B, are not exceeded with - frequencies over 500 Hz, - periodic non-sinusoidal processes, - non-recurring transient decays. Even though compliance with this standard is not necessary when one of the above-mentioned conditions is satisfied, other potential dangers shall be considered. This standard does not apply to the part of the test equipment related to the general power supply; in this case, the standards of the series HD 384 (for nominal volatges up to 1000 V) or EN 50179 (for nominal voltages over 1 kV) are applicable to the erection and EN 50110 is applicable to operation. Where no requirements are given in this standard, the standards of the series HD 384 (for nominal voltages up to 1000 V) or EN 50179 (for nominal Voltages over 1 kV) apply to the erection of electrical test equipment and EN 50110 applies to the operation of electrical test equipment.
