About the Netherlands Standardization Advisory Group – Smart Cities (SAG-SC)

The Netherlands Standardization Institute (NEN) has brought together representatives and experts from municipalities, central government, knowledge institutions and the business community. These experts and representatives work together in the Netherlands Standardization Advisory Group – Smart Cities (SAG-SC).

  • This group identify initiatives, developments, (research) results, smart city services and solutions have enough providers and buyers to qualify for standardization.
  • The SAG-SC also identifies which interfaces require standardization, so that, for example, data becomes more interchangeable.
  • Finally, the advisory group ensures coordination with other Dutch (standardization) initiatives, European (CEN, CENELEC, OASC, European Commission) and international (ISO-IEC) networks.
